As
part of our BIM approach we produce DWF files prior to printing an issued set
of drawings. To create a greener workplace, our engineers use these
DWF's to redline and comment on the designs and our drafting team then
imports these comments directly to our design software thereby reducing the
amount of paper used for check sets. While the design content on DWF files is static, the 3D views can be rotated & parts can be manipulated individually to facilitate viewing. Additionally, these files can be used with Autodesk's Quantity Take-Off software that enables cost estimators to bring together design data, high-quality images, and precise design information allowing them to leverage property data to automatically or manually measure, count, and price building objects. (Download Autodesk Quantity Takeoff Software Trial) We can make the DWF files available to you for your project so that you may view and add preliminary comments back to us. You will need to download the free Autodesk Design Review software. Another advantage of using DWF files is that a live interactive collaborative BIM environment can be set up between the design team and our clients. Take a look at a sample detail in the live Collaborative BIM environment to see how it works. |
