The new Severn Fire Station No. 2 represents a significant upgrade for the Township of Severn Fire Department over the existing facility located on the same site. The new fire station resulted in decreased response times for a growing community and has plenty of room for training exercises and significantly more room to house vehicles and gear. The project was delivered on time and on budget. Gerrits Engineering Limited is proud to have been a part of the project team.
Working alongside the several Sub-Consultants including the Architect, Landscape Architect, surveyor, geotechnical engineer, and designated substance surveyor, we were the engineers of record for this 8,300-sq.ft. firehall including pre-cast concrete mezzanine. The building was designed as a pre-engineered building with a 4:12 roof pitch to match the original building.
