Project Overview

Lucy's Place is a ground-breaking project that transformed an aging motel, which previously faced chronic homelessness, into a thriving Housing First community. This remarkable conversion involved repurposing the existing 4,200-sq.ft. motel and its accompanying office into 12 affordable bachelor apartment units as part of the Ontario Home for Good Initiative.

Working closely with Redwood Park Communities, we had the privilege of serving as the Engineers of Record for this renovation project. Our contributions included creating marketing renderings that showcased the vision for the revitalized space, designing a new roof canopy for enhanced functionality and aesthetics, and providing HVAC and electrical design services within the building.

We are proud to have been part of this transformative journey, where an outdated motel has become a beacon of hope and stability for individuals in need. Lucy's Place stands as a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in creating positive change within our communities.
